Today is World Book Day and it got us thinking about what our favourite books were as a child…
We’ve had a good giggle in the office and a reminiscing session of all the books we used to read at school and the different things we liked about them that made them stand out. Some funny character names, memories of school libraries and tatty, much loved and treasured books that eventually fall apart!
Some of us in the office were so captured by the books and stories that we’ve had a tattoo and an imaginary friend based on the book!
A few we’d like to share with you include a couple by Jacqueline Wilson, the Beaver Towers series and even a JRR Tolkien classic. Others need no explanation – Where’s Wally? and The Very Hungry Caterpillar have been used to kill the hours of many a boring car journey or rainy day.
