Yu Energy is an East Midlands-based supplier of energy solutions, offering a selection of price plans to suit all business needs. Born out of a genuine concern over rising business energy costs, Yu Energy is the go-to supplier for top service and great value. It was the Managing Director’s previous frustrations with many energy suppliers’ poor service and prices, that led him to set up Yu Energy in a bid to provide large and small businesses with the energy solutions and services they desire.
The Task
Fifteen were given the opportunity to re-design and develop a new website for Yu Energy. The site needed to provide an excellent user journey for businesses looking to get access to information on plans, prices and solutions.
The Website
The website’s design utilises Yu Energy’s brand guidelines to maximum effect. The warm brand hues really lift the site’s overall look and feel and when combined with the dark grey and white, they make a striking website with a professional tone.
As you scroll down the home page, the journey is clear to the user. Yu Energy’s key slogan in the hero copy precedes the 3 main energy products, swiftly followed by Yu Energy’s key selling points. It was important that we used the website to highlight just how easy it is for customers to switch suppliers whilst giving them effective CTAs throughout. The main navigation menu and right-situated phone and email symbols are static and track with scrolls allowing users to quickly move to relevant pages. The inclusion of the Trust Pilot review rating adds authority and completes a concise and clear footer. The homepage is created with the customer in mind, from finding out more about products and solutions to taking the user straight to where they can get a quote.
The Support page also gives the user a great resource for answering any questions they may have, which provides much-needed information to empower the customer and a signpost for their progression to a full sale conversion.
The New Connections page is a strong example of attention to detail. This page, in particular, offers an in-depth description of what this service can provide, followed by clear USP. A neat slider feature shows users how to get set up in an easy to understand timeline which all add to the delivery of what customers genuinely want to know before making a sale. All of this combined with the inclusion of case studies filtered throughout the site gives the user a robust and attractive proposition for considering Yu Energy as their new business energy supplier.
