About Forrest Williams Legal
Forrest Williams are a multi-award winning nationwide firm of solicitors. They represent clients throughout England and Wales from their bases in the Midlands and London. They are recommended in the prestigious Legal 500 guide to the top UK law firms, and have also won national awards for client care.
The Task
Forrest Williams approached us during a short tendering process in which they were looking for an agency that could not only provide a modern, refreshed website and brand, but also a team that was able to fully understand the user experience. Forrest Williams were invited down to the Fifteen office for a brand workshop, which included brainstorms about the target audience, the user journey throughout the site, the tone of voice of not only the content on the site but the designs and colour schemes. With our results and findings, we were able to implement certain things into the new site. The colour and font choices were key for this project, they wanted their audience to feel calm and relaxed when on the site.
The Website
Once we had got the designs for the website signed off by the client, we got the project into development. With Mikey building the majority of the website and Pav building the calculators and configurators that feature on the site, teamwork and communication were key. The site is built in WordPress, using a number of custom post types that are specific to this site.
Content Management System
Built in WordPress, the website uses the best coding practice and makes it easy for Forrest Williams to upload and manage content, imagery and services across the site. It is also fully scaleable and will respond to all devices and browsers as needed.
Key Features
While the new website is slick and well built to really focus the user on a journey, making information easy to find, there are a few key areas of the website that make it so special and unique.
Homepage – The configurator on the homepage is specifically unique to Forrest Williams. It allows the user to search for the service that they require in a friendly manner, where they have to select whether or not they are looking into a personal or business matter, then what sector they are looking for. This will then unveil a series of services that the user gets to choose from.
Menu – Forrest Williams new website includes 2 menus. You have the main navigation and the top navigation. The main navigation includes all of the sectors and services, with the top navigation showing all other pages, like About Us, Careers and Contact. It means the user can dive straight into the site and it is great for the user journey.
